Course Description
An introductory course investigating three major course areas: natural systems, man’s adverse impacts on these systems and how man deals with these impacts. The course includes a detailed exploration of such issues as human population dynamics and control, food resources and world hunger, land use, non-renewable resources, water and energy resources, and waterborne and airborne pollutants. The course culminates in a study of the politics, economics, and ethics of environmental control.
